Information for Store Operations

Grease trap cleaning

If odors return, drainage is slow, or pests appear even after the grease trap has been cleaned, we check not only inside the tank but also the drain, floor grates, U-shaped drain, drain pipes, and kitchen floor. Based on photos and symptoms, we can explain what is needed for an on-site inspection or estimate.

Signs You Need Grease Trap Cleaning Soon

If conditions change—for example, odors become stronger, drainage worsens, grease or sludge becomes noticeable, or drain flies increase—we will check not only the cleaning itself but also the frequency and surrounding drainage areas.

  • Grease, sludge, residue, and slime have accumulated inside the tank.
  • Odors around the drain opening are affecting the kitchen or dining area.
  • Pests are becoming more common around kitchen floors, grating, and drainage areas.

We’ll address drain pipes, floors, and pest control.

Even after the grease trap is cleaned, odors or blockages may return if buildup remains in the drain pipes, U-shaped drain, floor grates, or kitchen floor. Based on photos and symptoms, we identify what other work may need to be done at the same time.

  • High-pressure drain pipe cleaning, drain grate cleaning, and kitchen floor cleaning can be done on the same day.
  • If pests are present, we can also arrange source-area cleaning and scheduled maintenance.
  • Before-and-after photos document areas prone to soiling and an estimate of when to clean them next.

One-Time Cleaning and Regular Management

One-time cleaning is suitable when you want to remove significant buildup. If you want to reduce recurrence or lessen the burden on store staff, it may be easier to move to regular management that includes floor, drain, and pest control measures.

  • One-time cleaning is suitable for an initial visit when buildup is heavy or after a problem has occurred.
  • Regular cleaning helps prevent odors, blockages, and pest risks.
  • A report after the work makes it easier to adjust the frequency of future service.

QUESTIONS / FAQ

Questions About Grease Trap Cleaning

How often does a grease trap need to be cleaned?

The required frequency depends on the number of seats, operating days, amount of oil used, drainage equipment, and daily cleaning practices. If there are odors, clogs, or pests, review not only cleaning frequency but also daily management and the condition of the kitchen floor.

Can cleaning improve grease trap odors?

If odors are caused by grease or residue, cleaning may help improve the situation. However, the drainage route, water seals, deteriorating equipment, or pests may also be involved, so we’ll ask where and when the odor occurs.

Can grease trap cleaning also address slow drainage?

If grease or residue in the grease trap is the cause, cleaning may improve drainage. If a blockage in the pipes or equipment malfunction is suspected, an equipment inspection may be needed in addition to cleaning.

Can I request kitchen floor cleaning together with grease trap cleaning?

Kitchen floors and grease traps are often affected by related sources of grime, so you can request cleaning for both at the same time. Reviewing grease, slippery floors, odors around drains, and pest risks as part of the same service can make it easier to determine cleaning frequency and priorities.

Can I request a one-time cleaning only?

One-time service may be available depending on the work. However, for areas whose condition changes over time, such as grease traps, floors, air conditioning, and pest control, switching to regular cleaning after a one-time service can make them easier to manage. Send us the number of stores, areas to be serviced, and preferred work times to request an estimate.
