Information to Share Before Requesting an Estimate
The information needed—such as an on-site inspection, photos, or equipment details—depends on the equipment and the issue involved in grating cleaning. We can advise you about anything you are unsure of after the initial consultation.
- Grating location, material, and quantity
- Dirt, slime, odors, and drainage condition
- Whether the cover can be moved and whether it is fixed in place or damaged
- Permitted hours for water use, drainage destination, and protection requirements
Store staff should not attempt to handle heavy lids, fixed components, sharp damage, or disassembly of drainage equipment. Drainpipe cleaning and repairs are outside the scope unless specified in the quote.
When reviewing a quote for grating cleaning, please confirm the areas covered, included and excluded work, schedule, cost, and how the work will be reported afterward.

Questions About Grating Cleaning
Is the drainpipe beneath the grating also cleaned?
Gratings, drains, drain openings, and pipes may fall under separate work scopes. Please confirm which areas are included in the estimate, which are excluded, and how wastewater and other materials will be collected.
Does the store need to remove the grating beforehand?
Because removal may be hazardous depending on the weight and how it is secured, check in advance whether it needs to be removed. Do not try to lift it forcibly or touch damaged parts; follow the store’s safety procedures.
